Peer Reviewer Process
Jurnal Aquapreneur & Biosains Aquatik applies a peer-review process to ensure the quality, validity, originality, and relevance of every manuscript published. The review process is conducted objectively, transparently, and professionally.
1. Initial Screening
All submitted manuscripts are initially screened by the editor to assess their relevance to the journal's focus and scope, manuscript structure, document completeness, and compliance with the Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the initial requirements may be rejected at this stage.
2. Plagiarism Check
Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism or excessive similarity with previously published works. Manuscripts showing unacceptable levels of similarity may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
3. Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two reviewers with appropriate expertise in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise and relevant experience.
4. Review Process
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several aspects, including:
- Originality and scientific contribution.
- Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
- Quality of the research methodology.
- Clarity of data and results presentation.
- Accuracy of analysis and discussion.
- Consistency between the conclusions and research findings.
- Quality and relevance of references.
- Compliance with publication ethics.
Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
5. Revision
If revisions are required, authors are given an opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers' comments. Authors should respond to each comment and clearly explain the changes made.
6. Editorial Decision
The editor makes the final decision based on the review results, quality of the revision, and editorial considerations. The possible decisions are:
- Accept — the manuscript is accepted without substantial revision.
- Minor Revision — minor corrections are required before acceptance.
- Major Revision — substantial revisions are required and the manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers.
- Reject — the manuscript is not suitable for publication.
7. Final Decision and Publication
Manuscripts that meet all scientific and editorial requirements will be accepted for publication and processed according to the journal's publication schedule.
8. Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information contained in the manuscript and must not use data or information obtained during the review process for personal or professional advantage.
Reviewers must also disclose any potential conflict of interest and decline the review assignment if circumstances could compromise the objectivity of their evaluation.
Jurnal Aquapreneur & Biosains Aquatik is committed to maintaining a fair, independent, and ethical peer-review process to ensure that all published articles meet appropriate scientific standards.
