Jurnal Aquapreneur & Biosains Aquatik is committed to maintaining the integrity and originality of all published articles. Every submitted manuscript undergoes plagiarism screening before proceeding to the peer-review stage.

1. Initial Screening

Submitted manuscripts are checked using similarity-checking software to identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, and substantial similarity with previously published works.

2. Similarity Threshold

The journal sets a maximum similarity threshold of 20% as an initial guideline. A similarity percentage does not automatically indicate plagiarism, as quotations, references, scientific terminology, and commonly used phrases may contribute to the similarity score.

The editor will assess the similarity report as a whole and determine whether the identified similarities are academically acceptable.

3. Further Action

If a high level of similarity or potential plagiarism is identified, the editor may:

  • Request the authors to revise the manuscript and improve citations.
  • Return the manuscript to the authors for clarification.
  • Reject the manuscript if serious plagiarism or ethical misconduct is identified.

4. Authors' Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and that all sources have been properly cited. Authors must not engage in plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct.

Jurnal Aquapreneur & Biosains Aquatik reserves the right to conduct additional investigations if ethical concerns are identified after publication and may take appropriate editorial action, including issuing a correction or retracting the article.
