Peer Reviewer Process
OMBAI: Journal of Marine and Fisheries Science (JeFS) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and integrity of published articles. Each submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editor to assess its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, and compliance with the journal's author guidelines.
Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. During the review process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, scientific quality, methodology, clarity of presentation, validity of results, discussion, and relevance to the field. Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make the final decision, which may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
Authors are expected to respond to reviewers' comments carefully and revise their manuscripts when required. The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief or the designated editor.
