Peer Reviewer Process

CRANKSHAFT applies a peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of all manuscripts considered for publication. Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its alignment with the journal's focus and scope, manuscript template, and basic publication requirements.

Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are assigned to qualified reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. Reviewers evaluate the scientific content, methodology, originality, clarity of presentation, quality of references, and contribution of the manuscript to the relevant field.

Based on the review results, the editor may decide to accept, accept with revisions, request major revisions, or reject the manuscript. Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts in response to the reviewers' comments and recommendations. The final publication decision rests with the editor, taking into consideration the review results and the journal's academic standards.

CRANKSHAFT is committed to maintaining a fair, objective, transparent, and ethical peer review process, while preserving the confidentiality of manuscripts and reviewer identities in accordance with the journal's policies.
