Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to CRANKSHAFT: Center for Research on Advanced Naval Knowledge, Ship Hybrid Systems, Applications, Fuel and Technology Journal must follow the journal's prescribed template and be structured according to the IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) format, as appropriate to the type of article.

References must use either the APA 7th Edition or IEEE Style citation format. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero to ensure consistency and accuracy in citations and reference lists.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
